Kalavantin Durg
This is one of the most famous, now abandoned places in India, located in between the Matheran and Panvel at an elevation of 2,300 feet in the Western Ghats. Previously it was called as Muranjan until the place was renamed by Maratha.
Rama Setu
This is again a place where you can find the essence of history. The footprint of the famous mythological incident of building a bridge by the banarsena prior to the great battle of Ramayana between Rama and Ravana. This bridge is made of lime stone shoals. It connects Ramaswaram Island in Tamilnadu and to Manar Island, Sri Lanka.
Roopkund Skeleton Lake
Are you daring enough to visit a place where you can find hundreds of scattered skeleton through the clear water of a lake? Exactly!! The Roopkund Lake.
The lake is located in the high of Himalayan range in Uttarakand state at an altitude of 16500 feet, covered with ice throughout most of the year. In summer, when the ice melts, the skeletons can be seen through the Cristal clear water of the lake which makes the place truly hunting.
