The famous television and film producer, Ekta Kapoor welcomed her first child through the method of surrogacy on January 27. In past, her brother Tusshar Kapoor too opted for the same birth method to have a baby boy in the year 2016. Using her own ova which were frozen a few years ago by the medical experts, she was able to become a mother. This technique generally involves assisted reproductive technique which is quite familiar among the Bollywood stars these days.
According to Ekta’s doctor Nandita Palshetkar, she has earlier tried different reproductive techniques called In vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI). But these methods failed so as a result, she opted for the method of surrogacy. After this news broke on the internet, several Bollywood celebrities and her fans congratulated her via twitter, facebook, and many other social media platforms.
The technique of surrogacy was carried out in the famous Bloom IVF center nine months ago. It is reported that the baby boy has been named “Ravie Kapoor” after Ekta Kapoor’s father Jeetendra Kapoor. It is notable that it is the first time ever in the Bollywood industry that an actress has decided to opt for the method of surrogacy and to become a single mother of the child.
According to her doctor, she was keenly determined to become a mother for several years. She would routinely ask for updates about her baby boy and the mother holding the baby via regular health checkups and constant updates. Ekta also thanked her doctor to become a mother.
It is also believed that Ekta took inspiration from her brother who also opted the same method and named his son Lakshhya Kapoor. Among the numerous Bollywood celebrities, Sophie Chowdry, Kubera Sait and Rhea Kapoor were the first ones to congratulate her via Instagram post after this news broke. Many of her colleagues also congratulated her via Twitter and other social media platforms. Ekta Kapoor’s partner Hansal Mehta who acted in the web series Bose- Dead or Alive also congratulated her on this good news.
Presently Ekta Kapoor is working on the release of the second installment of the famous show Kasautii Zindagii Ki 2 which features some of the best talents of Bollywood like Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernande and Hina Khan who are in the lead roles of this season. Apart from this second season, Ekta is also working for Alt Balaji for the creation of several web-series to be aired on different web series streaming platforms.
Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor are the successful veteran actors and children of Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Ekta honored her father by naming the baby boy after him. She further added that the Indian media has been very supportive and also the people of India who are supporting these modern techniques of pregnancy. Ekta is quite successful in her Bollywood career and is still in demand by several Bollywood directors for the lead role in their production houses.
