Reshma Bano’s confidence was in high confidence walking the ramp in New York Fashion Week on Thursday. The 19-year-old Indian acid attack survivor looked every bit as beautiful as any other supermodel.
Acid attack survivor Reshma Bano, who was never been in abroad before, looked elegant and gorgeous in FTL Moda’s runway show. Dressed in a long-sleeved white gown with colorful panels designed by Archana Kochhar, she looked nothing less than a princess.
Now flashback two years ago, when this die-heart Katrina Kaif’s fan was acid attacked by her brother-in-law and his friends. Since then, her life plunged into darkness. She even started having suicidal thoughts about herself.
However, things started taking a turn for the better when she met Ria Sharma, the founder of Make Love Not Scars, an NGO that pioneered the #EndAcidSale movement in India and as a result, she made it to the Mecca of Fashion.
