Mohammad Raees Markani, 44, A car mechanic from India claims to have designed an astonishing car that runs on water.
This man originally from Uttar Pradesh, has been modifying an 800 cc engine for the last five years and at last he get succeeded.
The eco-friendly water fuelled car actually uses a mix of water and carbides.
Incredibly, A one litre mix of this concoction costs under Rs 10 – far more cost effective than traditional fuel.
Markani, who has an experience of long 15 years as car mechanic , said: “The car runs on acetylene gas , which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water.
“The gas is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines.”
“I have made other changes to the engines, which helps the overall performance of the car . So basically, it is just about the water.”
Markani also told that he had a whooping offer from a Chinese firm, which was interested in using his innovation, asking the investors to set up the plant in his hometown. The invention comes at a time when automobile companies are looking to use cleaner, more eco-friendly fuel in their cars. Markani has filed for a patent for the innovation.
