Few days ago, one of the most popular and oldest restaurant of Kolkata came into news due to refusal of a lady for her dine as she was accompanied with her driver. The manager told the lady as the driver was not properly dressed, he wouldn’t be permitted to enter into the fine dine restaurant.
This news got spread like fire as the lady, Dilashi Hemnani has posted that in social media and many protested against the cheap behavior of the hotel authorities.
Today, Indranil Chatterjee, whose Facebook profile says that he is an employee of AnadaBazar Patrika, ‘successfully completed’ his lunch session along with Kolkata’s most celebrated taxi driver, Bapi Green Taxi at the most controversial restaurant Mocambo.
According to Indranil’s words, “…..Just before placing the order, I informed Shaun (Mocambo’s Manager) & who was the main culprit behind yesterday’s incident, that Bapi is a taxi driver & we would like to have lunch. But to my surprise, today, the same Shaun behaved decently with the “Taxi Driver” & did not make any issue whatsoever…… I have enabled taxi driver Bapi to dine @ Mocambo with full prestige & dignity….”
Later in his post, Indranil has thanked Mr. Kunjan Verghese, DC Traffic & PS to Kolkata’s Police Commissioner & one of his Kolkata Police friend Somnath Banerjee for their support & assurance.
