Floral tributes were paid to the brave hearts real heroes who sacrificed their lives while fighting the terror attacks organised by Laskar-E-Taiba and Inter Services Intelligence to the Business Capital of India, Mumbai.

Today, the Maharashtra Chief Minister,Devendra Fadnavis and his cabinet colleagues paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives to protect the nation. He said:

I pay homage to the brave policemen who fought for Mumbai’s safety and laid down their lives for us on 26/11. We are proud of them and we will strive hard for safety and security of our state,

He added

We will strengthen police force with better equipment. It is our priority..

In 2008, this day morning, the whole India was shocked by the brutal terror attack to the lifeline of India, Mumbai city.

After arriving to India through sea-path the terrorists chose to target the lifeline of the city. Cama Hospital was their first target where Mumbai Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare and two other policemen sacrificed their life while fighting them.

Then they attacked the populated and busy Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus and open fired which claimed thousand of innocent lives with a blink of an eye.

Their next target was the luxurious and heritage Tag Hotel where they kept hundreds of guests as hostage. The Oberoi Trident, Leopold Cafe, the Nariman House Jewish community center were also bore the burnt of this terror attack.

After a long 59 hours of fight, nine terrorists were killed by the ATS and the rest, Ajmal Kasab, was captured alive, later hanged by Indian Supreme Court.
